i am ready to stop relying on this economy
i am ready to live somewhere that doesn't require money
i'm ready to grow my own food and generate my own electricity
i'm ready to give up fighting with the goverment and schools
to live in peace with nature
to live with gaia and let mother nature teach me and my children
i'm ready to give up the unnessisary technologies of today for the simplicity of nature

if i got abunch of my friends together
and we each played a role
the cheesemakers, the woodworkers, the weavers and knitters
all living in harmony, sharing with each other
teaching eachother what life has taught them

it's a stretch i know but i'm sick of this modernized commercialism that
brainwashes and materializes
is there already a place like this?
or do i need to create it?

comments? please

What has your recent relationship to money been like?

Posted on Jan 13th, 2009 by sunshinebandant
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for January 13, 2009:

previously money was everything to me... a i move away from this notion i'm trying to think of a way to never use money again. as a college student this goal is far from being accomplished.
i see myself graduating college with a degree in botany.... then a big gap of time. then maybe i could stumble upon some commun or secret society that just trades goods.

money is the root of all evil. once we has some standard to weigh the value of all of our goods, this economy developed. the economy told all the humans, dont hunt food, dont grow your own; give me some of your time and i'll give you these pieces of paper that you can buy food with..
now everyone has become dependant on this economy and does is make anyone happy? forever?
money is our economy, every dollar is a symbol of our dependance on this man-made force. a force that needs a little guy to step on just so some big executive can get a fat paycheck.

plus being in debt with credit cards over stupid shit, doesn't help my relationship to money....
whatever money sucks

If you had to pick another religion to practice, what would it be

Posted on Jan 12th, 2009 by sunshinebandant
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for January 12, 2009:

as a non member of any religious affliation i'd have to say i feel most enlightened by zen, tao and bubbist writings
i've spent my life being able to see outside the juedo-christan box, that is the cultish, brainwashing you children to love jesus and ask for forgiveness, box
although i must be honest and say i've never read the bible or the old testemest or the koran so the basis of the religion may be justified but as i see those around me get into pointless arguments over evolution or abortions i realize this modern day christianity is simply putting words in the people's head and mouth with out explaination

but the tao te ching is about simple truths that apply to us all.
much better, well rounded people develop from these readings

but hey that' s just me and everyone's entitled to their own opinons right?

where in the world?

Posted on Jan 12th, 2009 by sunshinebandant
why do powerlines run to every house on the block?
why do they say " we need them run our homes"?
why do big scabs in the earth
stretch farther in our roadways?
why does the idiot box tell me how to feel?
why do they pay for it too?

i'm sick of it, i hate Modern American Life.
fast food and guns
recession and the war on drugs
HOW MUCH BEER CAN YOU CHUG?

please someone tell me there is a part of the world that isn't cut apart and sold already
please tell me my biggest dream isn't some executive job stuck sucking up for the rest of my life
i dont want a house on the block

instead i want a place where money isn't exchanged
where houses dont look fresh off the assembly line

underground, tree top, or with enviro-friendly building materials
a place where the homes blend in with the forest

everyone helps each other out
so the cake is cut equally beween them

is this a place i made up in my mind
or somewhere real and tangable...
